Al-Araqib destroyed for a fifth time today

First news this morning – the flimsy and provisional rebuilt structures in the “unrecognized” Israeli Bedouin village of Al-Araqib, in the Negev, have been razed again by Israeli bulldozers protected by Israeli forces…

The land that the village is built on is to become a forest planted by the Jewish National Fund.

Ma’an News Agency reported here that “Israeli police reportedly detained a number of peace activists present at the scene”…

Joseph Dana (Ibn Ezra) has posted on today’s drama, here. Apparently, residents are rebuilding (for the sixth time).

This sort of thing would normally be considered a public relations disaster…
